EDUCATION
I visited the German School in Addis Ababa ( Ethiopia ), New Delhi ( India ) and Rome
(Italy), where I completed my A-levels.
From 1999 till 2003 I visited the academy of fine arts in Maastricht (the Netherlands ), following the ãteacher training in art and designä, focusing on 2-dimensional-techniques and film.
Additionally I specialized on ãcreative therapyä, within the Bachelor of Fine Art in Education.
Since 2003 I'm studying at the university in Berlin ( Germany ) social/cultural anthropology, as the main subject, sociology and history of art.
EXPERIENCE
Within the ãteacher training in art and designä I accompanied and gave lessons in art to children (from age 4 to 18) at Îregular schools' once a week during school terms.
Because of the specialization on ãcreative therapyä I worked with children waiting for an asylum in the Netherlands and with children, growing up in social week families.
For 3 months I worked with handicapped children (with mental disorders like down-syndrome, autism, etc.) in Kerala ( India ).
ARTPRACTICE / SOCIALWORK
In 2004 I spend 3 months in Chiapas ( Mexico ) together with 2 fellow students, working on a documentary film, we edited together in Berlin . The film focuses on a region in Chiapas , inhabited solely by indigenous people, and shows the consequences of the Zapatista uprising in 1994. Topics, as displacements, the destruction of the social structure, problems with the army, etc., are treated in the documentary.
The film ãAqui estamos todavíaä was shown at the film festival of the anthropological museum Berlin , several student film festivals and at the festival ãIV encuentro hispanoamericano de video documental independienteä
I'm joining a group of young people, coming from Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovenia and The Netherlands, which is planning to film a road movie, although East Europe, in may 2006. The 5 characters, coming from different European countries, have identity problems (ethnical, social, sexual·) and are in search of undefined dreams. |
